An Update from WandeRing NYC

Below are links to two new posts called Bruxelles WTF (I+II).

Before we get to them, some notes.

I've changed the name of this publication, so now you'll be seeing INK in your inbox, which is short for the Institute of Not Knowing.

On the surface, INK is photos and commentary on the the stuff I experience wandering around NYC and beyond.

Beneath the surface, it is designed to encourage you, the reader, to foster, listen to, and trust your intuition in concert with your ability to think and reason (not in place of it). Go places you've never been. Physically. Intellectually. Emotionally.

WandeRing NYC is a platform for promoting the mindset and skillset of the wanderer, which I believe are extremely valuable soft skills in the current milieux.

When we wander, we find stuff we don't know that we don't know, and what we don't know is usually what we need to know most (and resist the hardest). So here we are.

I've been working on the ideas at the heart of WandeRing NYC for more than 25 years and I've had some incredible help on this journey. Just in the past few months, I've formed a quiet partnership with a high-level marketing executive at a Fortune 100 company. They will remain nameless for now, but I can't tell you how much they've helped me wrestle this octopus, clarifying my thinking, and build better process. I think 2025 is going to be our year (all things considered).

We're working on a few different projects, with more in the pipeline:

  • INK - words and images that push you to explore the edges of your map. There's now a paywall for some of my more incisive posts. It's $5.55 a month, which helps me keep wandering and writing.
  • NYC Food Crawls where we eat great food, experience the city more directly, and learn about the culture and history of the greatest city on earth. I'm getting great reviews.
  • I'm also starting to build out Street Labs, which are wandering, intuition, and people skills trainings on the sidewalks of New York. (The next Big Wander in NYC is on March 23rd. Subscribe to get notified, it's free.)
  • I'd love your feedback on the updated website. You can text me if you have my number or even if you do try out my neat new contact form. I'm a nerd about it.

Anyways, here's these two posts, both called Bruxelles WTF:

  1. Bruxelles WTF I is a chronological photo-log of a wander I had in Bruxelles back in October, with limited commentary. It's got A LOT of photos so I didn't want to send it to your email.
  2. Bruxelles WTF II explores more of my thoughts and feelings as I moved around the city. It is paywalled ($5.55 a month), because a lot of my ideas should only be shared with people who have enthusiastically agreed to hear them. If you want to read this post but don't want to pay for it, contact me or you can subscribe here.

Thanks for reading.
